"Type III" is a phrase coined by Joseph Renzulli and Sally Reis to describe the third part of their Schoolwide Enrichment Model, which was the original model for York's Gifted and Talented program. It is intended to provide individual and small group investigations of real-world problems. At YMS, Type III allows for student to learn the research process and apply it to projects of their choice.
